Pakistan violates ceasefire in Arnia, Ramgarh sector

Hours after the Pakistani rangers pleaded with the Border Security Force (BSF) to stop firing at the international border in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan violated ceasefire at Arnia sector of Jammu. On Sunday night, Pakistan opened small-arms firing in Ramgarh sector of Samba. Intermittent firing between the BSF and Pakistani rangers is still underway, news agency ANI reported.

Earlier on May 20, the BSF and Pakistan Rangers agreed to maintain peace on the international border in Jammu region.
“The two sides agreed to maintain peace on the international border and hold periodic meetings to ensure that civilian life and property remained safe on both sides,” a BSF officer said.

The BSF and Rangers officials spoke to one another over the telephone, three days after four civilians and a BSF officer were killed in shelling and firing by the Pakistan Rangers in RS Pura, Arnia and Bishnah sectors.
According to a BSF spokesperson, Pakistan started small-arm firing at Narayanpur Border Out Post (BOP) of Ramgarh sector late night at around 10.30 pm for about 30 minutes, during which five mortars were also fired. The BSF retaliated with limited firing. On Monday morning, Rangers again started unprovoked firing with small arms at around 4am in the Arnia sector, which later turned into shelling at around 7am.
700 such incidents have been reported this year, which have left 38 people, including 18 security personnel, dead and several injured.
On Friday, four terrorists were killed in the encounter that broke out between the security forces and militants in Handwara area of Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
The Centre had on May 16 announced that security forces will not launch any operations in Jammu and Kashmir during the holy month of Ramzan, but they reserve the right to retaliate if attacked.
This coward act shows how weak are the Pakistani forces really are. They continued there attacks in Holy Ramazan month. Still, our security forces giving a strong reply to Pakistani Rangers.
Is it time to operate another #SURGICAL_STRIKE.

Pakistan has to understand that they can't stand Indian attack and is safe because of Indian policy to not attack first or we believe in maintaining peace.
