Results of Dope Tests conducted by World's Athletics Body (IAAF) and Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) came on Sunday, in shocking results total 5 Indian Athletes failed, including 3 Athletes those represented India in Jakarta Asian Games. Name of Athletes are as follows:-
1) Sanjivini Jadhav (5000m and 10000m)
2)Sandeep Kumar (Discus Throw)
3) Jhuma Khatun (1500m)
4) Naveen Chikara (Shot put)
5) Nirmala Sheoran (400m)
Dope Test- It is a test carried out to determine, Is athletes taking performance enhancement drugs?
Now you were wondering that how did they participated in Asian Games or allowed to participate?
These tests were conducted during Inter-State Championship or you can say it Asian Games trails and their results came yesterday, that's why they were allowed.
Two athletes were detained from SAI South Centre Bengaluru and other 2 were training at NIS, Patiala. Nirmala Sheoran is currently out of reach.
National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) is responsible for conduction of dope test of athletes, but athletes know several tricks that help them to skip the test.
1) They were informed by an official about surprise sample collection for test and they manage to escape the premises before Test Team arrives.
2) They kept hiding during the samples were collected and submit it later when they know is a safe time.
