Rafale "Secret" File || Political Drama || File Stolen

Rafale secret file which is an important source of information for the ongoing investigation of Rafale deal is now stolen, yes you heard it right. In an ongoing investigation Attorney General told Supreme Court that the file is stolen from the Defence Ministry either by an ex-employee or present employee.

The Hindu published it's first article about Rafale deal on January 18th that states,
"Modi's decision to buy 36 Rafales shot the price of each jet up by 41%" reported by N. Ram.

The next article published on 8th February which states,
"Defence Ministry protested against PMO undermining Rafale Negotiation"

The very next article published on 11th February states that,
"Government waived anti-corruption clauses in Rafale deal"

On 13th February report says,
" Rafale deal not on 'better terms' than UPA-era offer"

On 4th March it published,
"No bank guarantees meant a more expensive new Rafale Deal"

Now the question arises that, Is the article published by N. Ram on Rafale is from that secret file? If yes, then it is completely a matter of investigation.

Till now Government of India haven't commented on the matter but after they accepted in Supreme Court that the file is stolen that means the reports by N. Ram is true.
Now the Attorney General says that with respect to Official Secret Act a case will be registered against "The Hindu" to disclose the official secret.

Security of Defence Ministry is responsible for the theft of this "secret" file and an internal investigation should be carried out but the Government came to know about the theft of file later and that's why during the hearing Attorney General took time to answer the question about investigation about theft. He later told that an internal investigation has been ordered.

The actual document may be stolen but the reports in "The Hindu" is correct and no one can know about our sources, says "The Hindu"

The Indian Newspaper Society (INS) expressed "shock and outrage" at the Narendra Modi government's reported threat to invoke the law against "The Hindu", statement by INS.
"The threat made in the Supreme Court by the Attorney General, who appeared on the behalf of the Government in the Rafale case hearing, is unconscionable and utterly unacceptable in a democracy" in a further statement.

"This law (Official Secret Act) has no place in a democracy where the freedom of the press to report on governance and administrative decisions is constitutionally protected. The protection extends to the confidentiality of sources, which is the cornerstone of journalistic ethics" the INS said.

The debate is still carrying on the point that why the hearing should not be carried out on the basis of reports published in the Newspaper.

Do you think that Government of India hiding facts about Rafale deal from public?
